1) IP Licensing: Company gets a license to operate worldwide. Inventor keeps the previous or resulting IPR.
The Awarded Solver (or Solvers) is not required to transfer exclusive intellectual property rights to the Company. The Awarded Solver grants to the Company a royalty-free, perpetual, and non-exclusive license to use any information included in this proposal. The Solver remains the IP assignee and inventor (if applied).
2) IP Assignment: Company becomes the IP Assignee (or patented owner) of the resulting patent if any.
The Awarded Solver & The Company will have to sign and NDA and use a confidential Challenge if the patent is not filed previous to the Solution Publication in PhotonTransfer.com. The Solver will remain as the inventor in the patent filing, but not the patent assignee (patent owner).
3) Public Solution: the solution becomes public.
Solution is fully disclosed on the platform (not using Confidentially Disclosure on PhotonTransfer nor NDA). The Solver must be aware that the solution might be used by any user register in PhotonTransfer.com which is a free registration platform. This IPR scheme applies for solutions based on scientific publications for example
4) Tailored IPR Scheme: The company can upload an IPR special contract which will rule the challenge. PhotonTransfer recommends the company to post a Confidential Challenge and sign and NDA with the Solver. Example of application: Company gets an exclusive license to operate in a specific geomarket.
