The challenge includes providing a solution with a small system in a cost-effective optical way to measure the volume of a product in order to extract three parameters: length, width and height of the smallest rectangular box that can contain that product. It must be recorded in real-time, providing automated integration to a PC. The Challenger Company is looking for an optical solution; for example, light-emitting diode (LED) array. The solution could also exist on a low cost, low resolution scanning device. The challenge details will be disclosed to all Solvers who agree to accept a Non-Disclosure Agreement in order to get further details of the solution needed.
